Song Playing:"Lean Back" ~Jax Streeter

Second Life is a world full of Role Play opportunities. A Role-player
can find extremely elaborate simulated areas or 'sims' engaging the
player to be in character by wearing costumes, speaking and generally
interacting with ongoing storylines. When a person is involved in role
play, they are essentially part of the plot of a story yet to be
written. So jump in, create the character that you've always wanted to
be and develop your own story....

Beyond Imagination
by Jayalli Hawthorne
Step ‘Within’ the ‘Beyond Imagination’ playing field along side me to see a different form of role play. Meet Kiana Writer, the creator of Beyond Imagination, designing, and customizing games for the individual and for companies as well. She has a small team of helpers that are noticeably passionate about what they do. Each month a new game is introduced to the group. I was amazed at the amount of work that had to go into each of the sets within just one game and cannot believe that they are able to accomplish this feat in so little time. Kiana is a RL writer and is able to bring that experience into SL. She brings her story to life and says that she has finally acquired the graphics (thru SL) to the bubble she has always lived.
Kiana pulls you in as the main character into a ‘keep-on-your-toes’ mystery. You start in the Beyond Imagination Head Quarters by reading a cartoon on the wall that will give a bit of insight to your goal. From there, you head out to a waiting room, which has also has clues for the various series of ‘testing-rooms’ that you will soon be visiting. When you are in the waiting room, be sure to really study the table and all the items available to you. Take my word for it. They will come in handy and will possibly save your second life in the near future. I, apparently, did not study hard enough. :)
When you enter the ‘testing-rooms,’ you will find yourself, well.... a bit compromised in some form, and have to solve the puzzle in a specific amount of time. At one point in the game, found myself on a game table unable to move, looking up to a swinging pendulum with a very sharp blade slowly getting closer and closer. I searched the room over trying to figure out the right combination that would unlock the release allowing me to jump off the table. Could I figure it out in time? ...

RP NEWS- Bondomia

Today’s ventures took me to the fascinating sim called Bondomia. I was tp’d into a peaceful forest setting by General Melisande
Courtois. We took a seat around the campfire and chatted about the activities in and around Bondomia. Melisande started out as a peasant but has worked her way up to a general. As a general, Melisande works with training, tournaments, battles, intersim competitions and of course role play. I found nobles, peasants, infantry, orchids (similar to geisha) and monarchs (land owners or vendors) as roles that were offered to the group members.
This is a spellfire sim and uses spell fire weapons. Spellfire is
different than the DCS meters. It will measure health, stamina, food,
alignment, amour and air. This sim will generally use a particular
weapon for each of the competitions making the game on a level playing
field. There are a variety of games and tournaments set up on their
calendar with a collaboration of other sims that join in on the fun and
games. Each of the sims have different characteristics and directions
but come together to role play.
There is a Great Alliance created by Malikith Virtanen ( Chairman of the Great Alliance ), Vynnessia Vella, Comet Quijote, and Draco Sommabulist. I had the pleasure of meeting with the Warrior Princess, Loren Hesse, leader of the United Warrior and of the Silver Legion, and her partner Lord Malikith Virtanen. They gave me a tour of the arena and other significant areas throughout this vast land. Both seem quite busy with organizing at the highest levels all the way down to participating in the role play and the daily monitoring. Princess Loren explained the different tournaments and events that can be seen regularly here. She said that there are
different levels of combat.
The role play is interesting within itself. It is like small chapters
being written by numerous people creating a novel belonging to this
group. There was a ‘chapter’ just played out about the blacksmith being
possesssed and the town rallying around to try to find a way to free the
man from the evil spirit. I just recently heard that the evil sim, Erebos,
came in and kidnapped one of the Bondomians. Ummm, wonder how that will work out.
Guess I will just tp right over and look....... Bondomia (116,61,21)
