Wurlitzer: How did Photography By Bryson get started?

Bryson: It was suggested to me by my wife Diva Lilliehook.

Wurlitzer: How long have you been in SL, Bryson?

Bryson: A little over two years.

Wurlitzer: Where is Photography By Bryson located?

Bryson: The sim of: Bietschhorn (24, 181, 57)

Wurlitzer: What does Photography By Bryson have to offer?

Bryson: The ability to take your avatar and blend your RL and SL life together through photography.

Wurlitzer: How long did it take to create Photography By Bryson?

Bryson: It took a few months and actually I'm still learning everyday.

Wurlitzer: Bryson, what's it like to be a photographer in SL?

Bryson: It's a great experience to be able to capture a person personality through the avatar they have created.

Wurlitzer: What percentage of your customers come to you asking to update their profile picture?

Bryson: 60%

Wurlitzer: Why do you think theres a growing number of avatar's who want their picture professionally polished?

Bryson: I believe because it shows a person in their best light when they have a polished photo of themselves.

Wurlitzer: Are there any online sites that features your work?

Wurlitzer: Do most of the suggestions coming from you or the customers that you work with?

Bryson: We work together, but a lot of times the customers just lets me create the idea.

Wurlitzer: Every artist seems to have their very own distinct style, what techniques or artistic inspirations inspires you to be creative, Bryson?

Bryson: For me, it would have to be the idea of warm colors and angles. I like to shoot at different angles to make the image more dramatic instead of a dead on approach.

Wurlitzer: When you decide to take a picture, what is the selection process in your mind that you go through?

Bryson: I think of the outfit...what is it communicating to me through the color...and what background will be used.

Wurlitzer: Bryson, What would you like people to get out of your photos?

Bryson: When I do a photo I look at the reaction of the client if the clients word or OMG or Wow...I know I have hit it on the nail. So I want them to get the feeling of happiness and shocked at how real it looks!

Wurlitzer: What attracted you to Second Life the most?

Bryson: My wife Diva Lilliehook. She has been on SL longer than I have and when I would see her on the CPU and in this Virtual World I was like this is better than Play Station I need to get on this Second Life. She was the first person I ever shot a photo of.

Wurlitzer: Bryson, what was your first photography experience in SL like?

Bryson: It was challenging, because I have a graphic design background but learning how to make a cartoon avatar look like a real image was he challenge...Remember back then skins weren't as advanced as they are now...

Wurlitzer: What would you like your future in SL to be, Bryson?

Bryson: I just want to connect with new people and give them the ability to show their personality through one of my photos.

Wurlitzer: Do you have any plans on what you would eventually like to do in SL?

Bryson: Well lets see... I own Photography by Bryson and Ground Level Radio (one of the first Black Radio Station to cater to SL vendors and residence.) I would also like to sponsor more foundations and organizations.

Wurlitzer: What are your future plans for Photography By Bryson?

Bryson: Just continue to grow and continue to become a force in the photography and fashion industry.

Wurlitzer: Bryson, what are some of the drawbacks that your experiencing with taking pictures and selling it on SL?

Bryson: The drawback is understanding that just like in RL photography is very competitive, so you need to continue to remember to do, you don't worry about what the next guy is doing. Learn your craft and your creativity will show.

Wurlitzer: Do you have an art gallery in SL that showcases your pictures?

Bryson: I actually have a art gallery on the first floor of my studio. I also had an Egyptian exhibit where I had a few models and we shot on location on a few Egyptian sims.

Wurlitzer: Are there certain pictures that you will not post in the Photography By Bryson gallery?

Bryson: I will not post picture that will be an insult to others.

Wurlitzer: Other than Photography By Bryson, are there any other places that you have in SL?

Bryson: I have Ground Level Radio Headquarters and Aqute Graphix, located Inside of Photography by Bryson, which is a service i created to provide company identity through logo design,website design and print ad.

Wurlitzer: What do you like to do in your spare time in SL, Bryson?

Bryson: I like to spend time with my wife and explore things in SL that we may not be able to explore during this trying times with our economy... going to China then Europe, riding horses in Costa Rico and then ending the night at a formal ball room event...

Wurlitzer: What kind of events does Photography By Bryson have?

Bryson: At the moment we our working on sponsoring: The "SIX TOES" Feral Cats Rescue Project headed by Ocean Miami. The project will help trap/spay/neuter the The "SIX TOES" Feral Cats and help repair a shed which the cats have been taking shelter in during the snowy weathers.
