 Wurlitzer: Hi Frolic! How have you been since our last interview in May 2008 and what have you been up to since then?

Frolic: Hi Wurli - last time you interviewed me, I had just opened THE BEST OF SL Boulevard, so lots has happened since. Casablanca Boulevard and Hotel were opened, Patch Thibaud and I built the largest 4 sim theater in SL and The BEST of SL magazine has grown enormously. So pretty busy Wurli...

Wurlitzer: Frolic, what is Mr Virtual World, and what's the story behind the inspiration of this well produced pageant?

Frolic: Mr. Virtual World came about because of hundreds of petitions from male avatars, which of course is a direct result from the immense success of MISS VIRTUAL WORLD 2009. And it is nothing more than a continuation of my celebration of everything that is great with Second Life... behind any avatar, there is the great works of amazing artists that complement, an otherwise, very ugly avatar.

Wurlitzer: When and where will Mr. Virtual World pageant be held at?

Frolic: Patch Thibaud Auditorium - May 2nd at 12 pm SLT.

Wurlitzer: What kind of requirements and participation were you looking for regarding to finding the new Mr. Virtual World, Frolic?

Frolic: Great style, and a fantastic personality. All this will become more apparent in the next 2 months we will share with the contestants before the final evening.

Wurlitzer: Frolic, how many entries have you received and what were the steps for somebody interested in entering the pageant?

Frolic:We received over 100 entries and I am very satisfied with this number considering its the first year we have done this pageant. As far as entries, we kept it simple: All they had to do was send a picture and do a live audition.

Wurlitzer: How will the winner be notified Frolic, and what are prizes for the Mr. Virtual World pageant?

Frolic:The winner will be announced live at the Mr. Virtual World 2009 event. The prizes will be kept confidential till after the show, but I can tell you that the winner will get the cover of THE BEST OF SL Magazine and probably become the most successful male model on the grid, as is the case with MISS VIRTUAL WORLD: Mimmi Boa.

Wurlitzer: What kind of events are being planned for the Mr. Virtual World pageant?

Frolic: I will have to let Studio Red executives answer this question, since they are producing the final show. But I do know it will be filled with musical numbers and it will the sexiest show ever produced in SL!

Wurlitzer: Frolic, how many judges are being involved, what will they base their critiques on and how did you go about selecting them?

Frolic:

...I selected them, because they all know the fashion scene very well and also have a discerning eye to distinguish the boys from the man!

Wurlitzer: Frolic, what happens to all the final entries that did not make the pageant?

Frolic:Well they will have to try next year if they wish too, but I am hoping that it was a good experience for them and that they learned a thing or two.

Wurlitzer: Right now how many contestants are present Frolic, and how many more do you need for the pageant?

Frolic:We have 17 and tonight during the talkshow, we will officially announce the last 3 !!

Wurlitzer: Who's on the roster for the Official list of Mr. Virtual World 2009 Candidates?

Frolic: I Will send the official list later.

Wurlitzer: Whats your expectations going to be towards whoever wins the Mr. Virtual World pageant?

Frolic:I hope he will represent the male fashion scene well. He will also be involved in the up and coming Relay For Life charity. He of course, will also be a fashion rep and model for Boulevard Agency and the Best of SL magazine. I am hoping for a true humanitarian with great style!

Wurlitzer: What are the pros & cons you have noticed with other pageants in Second Life and how will you strive to make that different?

Frolic:The Mr. Virtual World Organization is different in that we truly go to the core of the avatar to uncover the person ... and this makes all the difference in the world. A good looking but empty avatar will not survive Mr. Virtual World.

Wurlitzer: Frolic, how many people helped out with the production of the Mr Virtual World pageant and what were their key roles?

Frolic:Studio Red productions and all judges have helped get us to where we are. I must also thank all the fashion agencies for sending their models over.

Wurlitzer: Who can we contact for more information on the pageant?

Wurlitzer: Frolic, what are some groups that members can join regarding Mr Virtual World pageant?

Wurlitzer: Whats your favorite way of promoting the upcoming Mr. Virtual World pageant?

Frolic: Through my magazine and bloggers and press all across the grid.

Wurlitzer: Frolic, whats your future plans regarding the pageant?

Frolic: This year will be a defining point for the true role of Mr. Virtual World. But I am hoping to find an ambassador for SL male fashion with great ability to help others as well.

Wurlitzer: Will Mr. Virtual World pageant be featuring any sponsors?

Frolic: Sure, we have been receiving lots of interested parties that want to sponsor. From designers to businessman to RL companies.

Wurlitzer: Frolic, are you the same person in RL as you are in SL and is your Second Life, what you want it to be?

Frolic: Same spirit, but different hats. Yes, it is. I always hoped that one day I would have voice to tell others about the wonderful things that are created in Second Life, and to that degree, I am very successful.

Wurlitzer: How do you see the future of Second life to be Frolic? Do you think SL might be more for education or big companies?

Frolic: No, SL will always remain the kingdom of the creative and the artists. Of course this will attract educators and RL businesses. But never the other way around.

Wurlitzer: Frolic, what do you do in RL?

Frolic: I have a degree in marketing and finance and I am a franchise specialist in South America.

Wurlitzer: What do you like to do in your spare time in SL, Frolic?

Frolic: Spare time?

Wurlitzer: Frolic, how do you keep transparency in making sure who you are in RL becomes the same in SL?

Frolic: I don't - this is my world, my imagination - Thank god for Second Life!!
