Wurlitzer: Whats your avatar's history been like in Second Life?

AurumDea: Most of my history on SL has been role playing and DJing. Helping out on sims and helping new people to learn Role play. Music here on Second Life has been has been a huge influence on what I do in RL.

Wurlitzer: What is the Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: The Nightwatch Show is all about things that go bump in the night. We cover everything from horror, to paranormal, to conspiracy theory and everything in between. The host, Todd Sheets opens the mind up things mostly not discussed. One week we will have on some big named celebrity, the next someone no one has ever heard of. We like to give even the little people a voice.

Wurlitzer: What is the history of Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: The Nightwatch show was started back in 2005 by Todd Sheets. He would broadcast out of a basement and in that time it has grown to over 1.3 million listeners worldwide. Played 7 days a week by about 322 affiliates. The show is live every Tuesday night at 9 central but many prefer to download podcasts of listen to archives played either bu affiliates or downloaded themselves.

Wurlitzer: Who are the staff involved with Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: The Nightwatch Show is a Jackalope Media production. The staff is Todd Sheets, He is a B Cult Movie Director with about 13 movies out. The most famous being Zombie Bloodbath. Todd is the host of the show. Julie V books the guests and makes sure Todd is taken care off and stays on task. She is the Producer. I am the Assistant Producer. What I do is stream the show and make sure podcasts and archives are in the proper place. Julie and I both do ad placement and events for Nightwatch.

Wurlitzer: Are any of the staff members of Nightwatch Show in Second Life?

AurumDea: Just me! Although in a role play sim I did run into the girl who does our voice overs. September Day. I won't tell you what her SL name is though *winks*

Wurlitzer: Where is the first Nightwatch Show based in, how many are affiliated?

AurumDea: The Nightwatch Show was started in a tiny studio in Mo. Now we are building a larger more up to date studio. We now have about 1.3 million listeners worldwide snagging the #1 spot for talk radio of its kind in Melbourne Australia. We were also picked up by Nokia, BBC of London as well as BBC Canada. We have gotten quite big!

Wurlitzer: What's the inspiration behind the Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: The Nightwatch show started out as a concept. The old producers just wanted Todd to do a show and so he jumped in and started doing it. He wanted to educate and bring out many taboo subjects he can. He wanted to give a voice to even the small guys of the world. Something that would bring people together.

Wurlitzer: Who are some recent guests that have appeared on Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: Our guests come from all different genres: Tom Kane, the voice of Yoda and professor Utonium from the powerpuff girls; Sid Haig; Jackie Chan; Scarey Guy; Mike Kim, talking about the refugee smuggling problem in North Korea; Stanton Friedman; Dean Hagland; Cynthia Rothrock; Don the Dragon Wilson; Jason Hawes; Brian Harnios & many other guests...

Wurlitzer: What is your fan base following of listeners?

AurumDea: Our demographic is crazy! We get the UFO folks, paranormal people, true grind house enthusiasts, B horror fans, conspiracy theorists, and many many more.

Wurlitzer: What are some tidbits related to Nightwatch Show we don't know about?

AurumDea: Well this is sort of an exclusive release right here. The media company is actually launching it own Internet radio station called Jackalope105Fm. We of course will be playing the Nightwatch show as well many other paranormal shows. We will have a naughty one with Piper from the Nightwatchers of Southern California, I will be having two shows of my own as well as Co hosting on occasion with 42nd street Pete, who is an icon in the grindhouse movie world. Also the spin off of the Nightwatch Show, the Nightwatchers, which is a paranormal group with members world wide hitting over 3000 members are about to announce new locations to investigate as well as new chapters being added.

Wurlitzer: Do you have any plans to bring Nightwatch Show into Second Life?

AurumDea: I am hoping once the licensing goes through people would choose to stream the Jackalope station, as we will be playing music as well. My two shows are in fact music. Of course if a person had their own stream they can upload archives from www.nightwatchradio.com and play them over the stream.

Wurlitzer: What plans do you have for the future of Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: We will actually be doing more live and remote shows from actual Nightwatchers investigations soon. Also we are working on several deals with cell providers to bring the show to your cell phones. Of course we are also interested in breaking into SL as well.

Wurlitzer: What are some topics that Nightwatch Show has covered?

AurumDea: We have talked about Vampires & Technology.

People have come up with topics relating to: Paranormal Investigating, Astrology, Illuminati, Cryptozoology, films of many kinds, Humanitarian Causes, Motivational Subjects. Just many many different things. We had on a guy called Outback Zack from Australia talking about his new animal show as well as the crew from the reality series repossessed. We cover it all...

Wurlitzer: What were your desires for joining Second Life?

AurumDea: I originally joined SL to supplement my income after seeing piece on it on Good Morning America. Of course, not escorting! But I thought I could build etc.. yes I have made some skins, built some houses, but I have learned, leave it to the experts!

Wurlitzer: What ways do you go about promoting Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: Mostly I tell everyone i know about it. I have a Myspace page as well as we run many other pages on social networking sites. We talk about it on our investigations as well.

Wurlitzer: What are the challenges that Nightwatch Show constantly faces?

AurumDea: Well the only thing we really have a problem with is the amount of drama in the paranormal field. Also its odd because when we come up with a concept, it seems that many others follow suit. We have actually turned down major contracts because these larger companies wanted us to start charging affiliates to carry the show. We consider it a big family and to us it would be wrong to do that to a station who has stuck by us.

Wurlitzer: How can we learn more about Nightwatch Radio?

AurumDea: You can visit the site at www.nightwatchradio.com as well as the Nightwatch show. You will find more then enough information that way.

Wurlitzer: Do you hold any special events for Nightwatch Show?

AurumDea: I started a new chat room as well as have started getting items to give away fro the show. So implementing the chat and contests will be happening very very soon. Some of the guests also give away items as well to help support the Show! We will also be doing special exclusive broadcasts live from Nightwatcher investigations.

Wurlitzer: Does Nightwatch Show feature any sponsors?

AurumDea: We have a few sponsors and will be picking up many many more once we launch the radio station. Our rates are extremely low for ad placement and banner rotation. With the addition of the radio station we will have even more to offer to out sponsors.

Wurlitzer: What do you feel Nightwatch Show brings to fans?

AurumDea: A light. Educating people on information on things people normally don't talk about. Before the Nightwatch show, I didn't know what Haarp was..Do you? Google it.. Things like that people don't even know whats going on.

Wurlitzer: Do you have any jobs, here in Second Life?

AurumDea: Jobwise, I only DJ at Hellrazor and The Sacrilege. I love both places and the people there are great. I play industrial and noise, some darkwave. Check out the Labyrinth as well. I am also a Game Master In Obsidian city. It a wonderful Role play sim. I help with RP and keeping people following the rules. The sands of Persia is also where I help out. That is more RP then administration duties.

Wurlitzer: How do you see the future of Second Life?

AurumDea: I think SL is growing amazingly. I remember this time last year there would be about 40k members on line. I thought because of the economy people would not be able to come to SL etc. But now.. I see about 80k people on line. I guess people still need their entertainment!

Wurlitzer: Where do you see Nightwatch Show 6 months from now?

AurumDea: Well actually it makes my head spin as we are getting bigger as well. Since all these things have started happening with money situations and 911 people are really turning to other explanations for things. They are seeing that not everything is as black and white as they thought and there is a HUGE gray spectrum. In this they listen, for answers..

Wurlitzer: What was the biggest show you had for Nightwatch Radio?

AurumDea: Our biggest show was when we had the Official Church of Satan and Dr Luis Turi.

Wurlitzer: What would you like Nightwatch Show to be known for?

AurumDea: Inspiring people to be themselves and know its of to think different, be different, and know about the difference. I guess we try to show open mindedness and try to send a message that no matter what a person believes in, it is OK. We just want to bring the stories to the people.
